Marmalakes put on a fantastic show at Sidewinder the other night and finally got to snap a few very colorful shots of them playing! Enjoy!
I snapped this one great and gloomy shot from outside of the Elisabet Ney Museum this past weekend. The sculpture is called Prometheus Bound. When I saw it poking up from the window, I got this idea of how the final image should look and I think it turned out pretty well.
The unstoppable Women of Texas proudly, and joyfully expressed their strength today! They marched for love, unity, equality, justice, and the health and safety of us all. I stand with them!
American Sharks burned it down at Sound on Sound fest back at the beginning of November. I had to trudge through piles of charred corpses just get these shots!

Death Grips is an unstoppable juggernaut, and their deafening performance at SOS Fest this past weekend provided some much-needed catharsis. It's been a while since I've had the chance to rage that hard. Sounds pretty good right about now, doesn't it?
My homie Protextor christened the Forest Stage at the first ever Sound On Sound Festival at Sherwood Forest Faire this past weekend. He shared the stage with producer and collaborator Matt Puckett, beatbox artist Ben Buck, and his anti-social knitting circle Space Camp Death Squad. The performance was sharp, eclectic, groovy, and supremely triumphant! So proud of this dude!
Hanging out at the boxing gym sure has its perks. I got to shoot a fight! Not much else to say other than I had an absolute blast and hope to do it again really soon. Kapow! Hope you guys like 'em!

Four years ago I started taking pictures at first ever Austin Mic Exchange. AMX provided aspiring rappers with a free stage to perform, and I was able to give them free photos to promote themselves. Over the years these guys have created a tight-knit community that supports, nurtures, and celebrates all things hip-hop in Austin. The other night I went to AMX's 4th Birthday, partied with some old friends, and grabbed a few shots of some OGs. It was so great to see everyone! HB AMX!
The weather is Austin changes quickly and often. One minute you've got sunny skies, then suddenly you're in a thunderstorm! I snapped a few while enjoying the rain from the front porch.
The heat is on in Austin and that means lots of trips to the Greenbelt for swimming! I had the chance to go out there with my lovely friend Rebecca earlier this summer and we had an impromptu photoshoot in the cool, rejuvenating waters. Happy summertime y'all!
I travelled through a mysterious wormhole and into the chaotic and hilarious dimension of Party World Rasslin' last weekend. This trip into the amateur wrestling multiverse featured battles between The Dumpster Babes, Hot Dog versus Dad Bod, Theodosia versus Kippy (age 13), The Primo Family versus The Romaine Legion! And finally, an epic face-off between Partyweight Championship belt holder Dan "The Man" Ziglar, and Randy Eagleman. It was insanely brutal, incredibly messy, and all in good fun! HAIL MOTHER WORM!!!
Observed our independence the other night with some beautiful friends and snapped a few candids throughout the night. We ate, we drank, we celebrated with explosives! It was a blast! :p
Alan was pretty desperate for attention last night and was being extra vicious (but like, the cute kind of vicious, you know?) to his dinosaur toy. What else could I do but encourage him and let him indulge?
I simply love this band and everything they do. I only took a few photos because I couldn't stop watching the show.
Went on down to Preacher Gallery last night and checked out Joe Swec's "Lighten Up", featuring 100 meticulously hand-painted and lettered matchbooks. I really like his style, the lettering is outstanding, and it all just has a great attitude. Oh and all of the boxes had matches that matched. Whoa.
May the 4th is, of course, Star Wars Day. But it also happens to be the day I officially adopted my best friend in the whole-wide-world, Alan. Yesterday marked three years of age and two years together! To celebrate, I took the day off and we spent it in his favorite place...outside. Fat Tony is one my favorite shows to catch in town and I'm so glad I got to grab some shots of him performing last night! Also, I'd never heard of Antwon before but he was weird, and pretty dope, and knew how to throw a good party. Great night!
